Now that I'm off the lakes of Alberta and now hailing in Halifax I've developed a serious case of 10+ itis. Ideally I'd like to get into a Tanzer 26 or a Catalina 27.

If you plan on staying at one of the full service clubs...you'd probably be happier with a larger boat. Some of the deals out there seem pretty good. For a couple more grand than my Sandpiper, I could have bought a Halman 20 or similar. Lot more boat for a bit more money.

Having sold The Legend I'm looking for a new boat as well and would like to find out if there is an interest in one design at the DYC. I've put a lenghy ( even for me) post on the subject on the club page seeking opinions and trying to determine if there is genuine interest in the topic that might help govern my decision on what boat to buy next.

Right now I have a Hunter 30. She's a great boat but not the last one. The game plan is to retire in the next 4-5 years and sail south then east then whatever!! I have been looking at several different boats. The one I like best so far is the Irwin 44. It has a transom that folds down to make a swim platform and a centre cockpit. Seeing as both my wife and I dive it will be a big help as I get older and the weight increases the platform will be a big help.
