Hi folks,
The word as of Sunday, was that the waterfront race IS STILL ON for Saturday June 10, despite some rumours out there that the annual fun event was going to be cancelled due to sponsorship issues. I have yet to hear the details of the finish and subsequent activities... if you know...let us know!!
I'll update if I hear more

I was originally contemplating on entering in my CL 16 but for logistical reasons I don't think that will come to a reality. SO I am willing to offer my services to anyone in need of crew.

Uh, that's the forecast for southwestern shore. The Halifax and Approaches forecast is "Winds southeast 10 to 15 knots increasing to easterly 15 to 20 Saturday afternoon. Cloudy and mist with occasional showers today and Saturday. Risk of a thundershower early Saturday morning"
Easterly 15 to 20 means great reaching conditions in from Pleasant Shoal or all the way from Spruce Island depending on where you start.

I think we survived the race... I Attached both sheets to the jib before we started and it only took three tries. ... and they held!!! But Mark put me to shame when we switched the blade for the 150... or whatever it was. I think he's had a bit more practice. The bowline is not my forte.
