New sailor wanting to crew. Started sailing last August on a DB1 (33') and got hooked! Am dedicated to spend most weekends and Wednesday nights racing (of course). Have experience handling the jib. Not a lot of experience in other areas of the boat but very determined to learn. Completed a CPS course last Fall/Winter and eager to learn more. I spent last summer crewing out of AYC but I live in Cole Hbr so I would prefer to crew out of DYC if possible. Can even provide a reference if necessary! My cell is 497-8016.

Thanks Spirit, great post! Best thing to do from here if you do not recieve a reply right away is come down to the club on Wed nights, say between 5 and 5:30 and hang out before the race. Let anyone you talk to know you'd like to crew with whoever has a need. Its a very friendly atomosphere. Find Curtis the General Manager and let him know who you are...thats another good way to get your name around. Good luck and hope to see you out real soon!

You can also touch base with me at the club prior to the Wednesday night skipper's meeting (I'll likely be the guy puzzling over his charts) and I will make an announcement of the "YooHoo, sailor!" type letting the folks present know of your availability.

If you are available every Wednesday and want to sail at DYC, try contacting the skipper of Occlusion. I hear he is short crewed this year and only has his own boat every second week.

Thanks everyone for your help! I have finally cleared up my Wednesdays starting next week so I'll be there to check out the situation.
