OK here's my dilemma.
I have a really nice set of colourful sails for my CL 16. Both Main and Jib are white/orange and red with a spinnaker to match. As these are the original sails they are quite worn thus I ordered a new "crisper"set from the boat manufacturer (CL sailboats in Ontario). As I placed my order on the phone I was informed that my particular colour combination was discontinued 10 yrs ago and was very disappointed to hear this. My original colourful sails are still in good working condition and they'll be used many times over. BUT I am wondering if it is possible to have my sails re-dyed to freshen up their appearance?
I did eventually order a second set and went with two shades of blue with white. As nice as they are, it's just not the same as I've grown quite attached to my original colours.

Wonder if a new white suit of sails can be dyed in that pattern. I had the colourful sails with my white deck/orange hull CL14

I suggest calling Doyle Sailmakers on Wright Ave in Dartmouth. Even though you might not be in the market for new skins, the guys there are always willing to give helpful hints where ever they can. Doyle Sailmakers 465-7245
